Polly Paulusma emerged with her self-produced debut, Scissors in My Pocket in 2004, earning widespread acclaim for its intelligent folk-pop sound. She supported legendary artists including Bob Dylan, Coldplay, Jamie Cullum, Marianne Faithfull, Joseph Arthur and Divine Comedy. She performed on major stages such as Glastonbury, T in the Park, V Festival, and Cambridge Folk Festival.
In 2012, Polly founded label Wild Sound, nurturing a new wave of indie-folk talent. Alongside her music career, she completed a PhD exploring the influence of folk music on author Angela Carter, which inspired her 2021 album Invisible Music. Her most recent album WILDFIRES, produced by the legendary Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Laura Marling, Ray Lamontagne), was released February 2025 to extraordinary critical acclaim.
